a classic

I just love these t-strap canvas sneaker/sandal from Naturino. Although AP wore them pretty much throughout our entire vacation in Mexico, I still put them on his feet here in the bitter cold. They look just as good with socks as they do with bare feet. A really classic (and unisex I might add) shoe that comes in a rainbow of fun colors! which hue do you like best?

kid-size

I love mini versions of adult furniture, especially with a modern twist. These simple scoop-back chairs from West Elm look durable and stylish and can even be monogrammed. Would look great in a child's playroom or kitchen. I am digging both the white and the birch color! Maybe an option for the new play area....?

it's raining and pouring

Since I have two boys I dont feel as guilty about splurging on certain items because I know I can pass them down! This dreary weather reminds me that I've always loved the classic yellow raincoat from Petit Bateau. G is currently going through a phase where he insists on wearing it every day...rain, shine or even snow. I'm glad we are getting some use out of it and will eventually hand it down to A next year!

knitted

I just started blogging again (sorry for the major hiatus!!) and can't resist posting about my favorite baby blanket. I know what you're thinking....it's just ANOTHER baby blanket, but ours has really, really been loved and been a lifesaver in the stroller, car, airplane and looks chic in the nursery. I hope A never outgrows his. Many patterns and color combos are available at THE ELEGANT CHILD or you can email the designer herself, Deb: debnee58@aol.com.

palm beach

We had a great trip to Palm Beach and Miami! I had some free time away from the kids and on my drive down to SoBe I stopped at the HiHo BATIK studio in North Miami Beach. Obv, I had to conduct "research" for my blog and it was a great excuse to pick out some shirts for the boys! While there I was able to design custom t-shirts with their initials. They have many, many unique motifs to choose from.

And a visit to PB wouldn't complete without a trip (in my case, a 20 minute stroll!) to Worth Avenue. We had a yummy lunch at Taboo and afterwards I found these elephant PJ's at the recently opened ROBERTA ROLLER RABBIT boutique. G loves elephants so I'm excited for him to wear these cozies to bed!

meals on the go-go-go

Travel with kids is always a production. The amount of snacks, food, bottles etc. that I carry-on the airplane takes some planning. I love this camo picnic cooler from L.L. BEAN. It keeps the boys snacks and meals in one place and makes feeding easy - there are lots of pockets for bibs, sippy cups and utensils. I had mine monogrammed with the boys initials in red - love it!

bootie me up

When Archie was born I became bored with all the sock options for babies and newly obsessed with booties. There is something so sweet and innocent about baby booties that plain old socks just doesn't capture. Here are a few of my faves.

I love these hand-knit baby moccasins from PLEASANTLY PLUMP KNITS. A great Etsy find to add to my collection!

These ZUTANO booties are great as basics and there are lots of happy colors to choose from. A bootie sock that truly stays on all day!

The Soft Soles Bootie by ROBEEZ is cuddly, warm and perfect on a snowy winter NYC day. I love the shearling trim.

Wool Fleece Booties by MAKIE. They are super cozy and chic.
